Kevin Steen

Chief Executive Officer

Kevin Steen serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AURA Network Systems, leading the company's strategic direction and growth in providing innovative and secure communications solutions for the aviation and critical infrastructure sectors. With over 30 years of experience in technology business development and operational leadership, Kevin is recognized for his strong customer relationships and proven track record in balancing strategy with execution.

Before joining AURA, Kevin served as CEO of the combined Eutelsat America Corp. (EAC) and OneWeb Technologies (OWT) entity. In this role, he oversaw the integration of teams and businesses, driving the company’s overall strategic direction. His leadership was pivotal in establishing the company as a leading provider of secure satellite communications connectivity to the U.S. government globally.

Prior to his role at EAC, Kevin served as CEO of OWT since 2022 and as CEO of iDirect from 2017 until 2022. At iDirect, a market-leading government and commercial satellite communications technology provider, Kevin's strategic vision helped the company pioneer the satellite industry’s first ground segment platform supporting a global network footprint and enabled the transition to High Throughput Satellite (HTS) architectures. Under his leadership, iDirect doubled its revenue and market share, becoming the technology partner of choice for top satellite operators and service providers.

Kevin's career also includes senior leadership positions at SAP Americas, where he served as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions. Additionally, he has worked with early-stage startups that were later acquired by Fortune 100 companies. His extensive experience in technology business development, operational leadership, and mergers and acquisitions has equipped him with the skills to drive innovation and growth within AURA Network Systems.
